Autumn is here! Do you feel it?
The light is softer, the evenings come sooner, and something in us wants to slow down.
I think that’s a season of rest calling. Fall, for me, has become a season of gathering in and letting go: the harvest comes in, and the fields rest.
How is fall settling in for you? Joseph filled the barns before the famine came. Sometimes the little nudges we notice are God preparing us for what’s ahead. And sometimes we find ourselves in an empty field instead, where it feels like nothing is growing. That’s protection, not punishment. The field is resting. So should you.
You don’t have to be the strong one all the time. You don’t have to prove you’re enough. You are safe, seen, and standing because of whose you are. And the grace He offers isn’t a one-time rescue. It’s abiding grace, the grace that stays, wave after wave.
The recipe for restoration hasn’t changed: rest, nourishment, and time.
So, welcome to autumn Reader. May this be a season of gathering in what’s good, letting go of what’s heavy, and finding the grace that stays.
